"We were privileged to recognize Sgt. Keith Wrather (Maury County Sheriff's Department) and Tori Curry (Tennessee Department of Agriculture) for their outstanding work with equines in Maury County in 2025 ahead of National Horse Protection Day on March 1.

It takes an incredible amount of skill and compassion to navigate situations of potential neglect or where horses (and often times, people) are in need. We commend both Sgt. Wrather and Tori for their work and the way they handle these often challenging situations. It is an honor to serve our community together!"
