It’s back!!
Freedom Reigns Ranch’s 7th Annual Benefit Ride! And this year at the beautiful Percy Warner Park in Nashville, TN!

100% of the proceeds benefit Freedom Reigns Ranch!

Freedom Reigns Ranch is a 501c3 non-profit ministry in Columbia, TN whose mission is to ignite hope with the help of a horse. We provide mentor sessions free-of-charge to children and young adults who have experienced trauma and other life-challenges. Your entry fee of $70 goes directly to supporting the Programs there!

Enjoy a beautiful ride through the Tennessee Countryside at historic Percy Warner Park! The first part of the ride will consist of enjoying the Steeplechase Infield and have 10 XC jumps (optional for 2nd Flight and not on course for Hilltoppers and Trail Riders), then go for a ride around the beautiful trails and finally return to the Infield for a couple final jumps and photo opp.  The park is closed to outside riders during the event. Spotters throughout the course for safety, complimentary water on the trail and lunch at the start/finish is provided for each rider.

Santa's elves will be onsite spreading Christmas cheer to kids (and ponies) young and old!

Please remember that some of the trail will be rocky so shoes or hoofboots are recommended for horses. First/second flight- during rocky areas of trail, pace time is at a walk.

DIVISIONS:

Hilltoppers and Trail Riders: a leisurely ride at mostly a walk

First Flight: Fox Hunt Simulation optimum time: resting, walking, trotting, cantering, and galloping and jumping required (all jumps are contained in the infield of the Steeplechase Grounds at Percy Warner Park,  and course then follows the trail. On any parts of the trail that are rocky, the pace for that section is based at a walk.)


Second Flight: Jumping optional but optimum time will be the same as First Flight

  • Best Christmas costume - individual

  • Best Christmas costume theme - team (up to 3)

  • Most classic turn-out - individual

  • Most glitter on a single horse/rider

  • Most bells on a single horse/rider

  • Scavenger hunt (t-shirt for all who complete it!)

 

Ribbons:

  • Participation ribbon for all competitors

  • 1st-5th place ribbons for the teams who come closest to their division’s optimum time. Placings will be announced when the last team returns from their ride and ride times are calculated.

 

Lunch provided for all riders and included in entry fee of $70

Additional lunches available by pre-order (submitted on entry form).

 

TEAMS CAN BE NO MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE FOR SAFETY.

PLEASE PLAN YOUR TEAMS AND SUBMIT FORMS ACCORDINGLY! For example, if you have a group of 5, you will need to form two separate teams one of 2 riders and one of 3 riders. Entries will close on 12/1/2024 or when the maximum number of teams is reached. In the event that you need to cancel, to be eligible for a refund, an email is required prior to 12/1 to make space for riders on the waiting list.
Submit entries early as this event has sold out almost every year!

There is no Junior Division. Every team must have at least one rider over the age of 18 on their team.

 

Incomplete entries are not accepted (a complete entry = entry form, completed waiver, and coggins).

Current coggins required, no exceptions!

Remind every member of your team to complete their entry form, waiver, and coggins.

*Any style of tack welcome. Helmet required for anyone under age 18 and for everyone who is jumping regardless of age. Protective vest is recommended due to XC (solid) style jumps.

*Shoes or boots are recommended for horses as some of the trail is rocky

*there are no required hay/straw bale jumps this year due to rider request. There are two straw bale jumps with stadium-style options. All other jumps are the XC infield jumps at Percy Warner Park.

TEAMS CAN BE NO MORE THAN 3 PEOPLE FOR SAFETY. PLEASE PLAN YOUR TEAMS AND SUBMIT FORMS ACCORDINGLY! Ride times will have groups departing every 4 minutes. Groups may *not* wait for/join up with each other during the infield riding portion of the trail, which is during the first part of the ride.
Hilltoppers & Trail Riders should plan on riding in earlier times of the day, and last team will be scheduled to depart no later than 2:00.
First Flight riders will be scheduled throughout the day with last team scheduled to depart no later than 3:15.
Please note: we will make every attempt for your ride time and will assign on a first received, first served basis to be as close as possible to your desired start time but cannot guarantee so. Ride times will be posted on 12/5/22 @ 12pm CST on our website as well as sent via email.

Please indicate the interval that you would like to start on your entry form. We will send the scheduled ride times prior to the event. Check in at the office at the pace to receive your team number, then arrive mounted in the warm-up field during your chosen interval. No further time assignment will be made. Riders must arrive at the start for their assigned ride time. **If you would like a leisurely ride, please request an early start time.**

ONE FORM PER HORSE/RIDER COMBINATION, please. Signed waiver and coggins must accompany this form or it will not be accepted. Pre-Entry is required, no onsite entry permitted. Each team will be given a gift bag with bottled water, pre-packaged snacks, and other horse goodies in addition to your boxed lunch.
