Sparrow continues to take in every bit of his refresher training and accellerate. We're now trotting under saddle and have the beginnings of cantering. At some point, someone put a lot of work into him and taught him how to work well. He is now a bit "out of practice" so it takes a minute to convince him that he actually wants to work again, but he is so smart that he picks everything up quickly and moves forward. We're so excited for whoever ends up adopting him. He will be suited for an intermediate rider and confident handler (we can assume he was gelded late in life due to behaviors we've observed). His full adoption profile will be available after his sarcoid removal surgery is completed.

Dove is holding steady in her hoof recovery and has had a new reset and seems to be more comfortable than the first. Bradley constructed custom shoes that essentially "cradle" the middle of her foot (sensitive area when foundered) while keeping pressure on the important parts that will continue to encourage bloodflow and hoof growth. It's remarkable to watch that process. We appreciate the patience and kindness he approaches Dove with (as she's now feeling a bit more sassy and opinionated about things with her feet and has no hesitance expressing those opinons!).
She is still being so generously cared for at The Jaeckle Centre and enjoying daily therapies to help her feel best and give her body the best chance at recovering. We can't thank them enough! We're seeing some areas where it seems like her body has endured more than we ever understood before and are working to adjust to keep her as comfortable as possible while healing. She has been taking some short strolls outside for good, old-fashioned "Vitamin D Therapy" and seems to enjoy that a lot. She still loves her daily snuggle time and soaks in every moment of affection anyone will offer her. I've never met a horse that enjoys affection more than Dove!
