"First sessions of the season are always so fun and filled with excitement. We have 51 children and young adults in ongoing sessions this season and will welcome an additional 70+ for one-time group sessions.
Thank you to every hand and heart who makes it possible to serve so many!"

"Thank you so much, Katie Van Slyke for sponsoring Pumpkin again for 2026!
She has made it possible for this sweet, spunky red pony mare to receive everything she needs to continue bringing joy, comfort, and hope to the children we serve. We are incredibly thankful for you, Katie... and so is Pumpkin!
A few of her pasture mates are feeling a tiny bit jealous as they wait for their sponsors!"

"One of the ways you can support Freedom Reigns Ranch is by purchasing an item off of our Amazon Wishlist!
We try to keep the list to essential horse care, helpful session items, and a couple “this would be awesome!” items and provide donation receipts for tax purposes as we are a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Thank you to everyone who supports our work in this unique way- even a single item helps more than you know! 🫶🏻🤠"

"Meet Nehemiah!
We don’t often get to share about rescues on the day after arrival because there are often legal proceedings that prevent us from doing so. This case is a bit different.
We received a phone call from a gentleman in Maury County about a horse he had recently taken in because he saw his desperate state and wanted to help. He started the rehabilitation process, but realized it might require more experience than he had and then was hit with a debilitating injury requiring surgery on both of his knees and making caring for this new, fragile horse in the way needed a near impossibility.
He had heard about Freedom Reigns Ranch and the work we do in the community, with people and horses, and reached out to ask if we’d be willing to take this sweet gelding in to our herd.
After some due diligence, we determined that he was being truthful of circumstances and were grateful to say yes.
We welcomed Nehemiah yesterday afternoon and after a quick visit to our Vet to get his intake weight, got him all settled in at the ranch.
He has a long way to go: he needs to gain about 400lbs (that thick winter coat is keeping him warm and also hiding just how emaciated he is), have his teeth done, get his feet trimmed up, and then slowly progress to eating A LOT.
We are so excited to see how God will continue to write Nehemiah’s story of redemption and healing as a beautiful picture of His heart for us. We look forward to keeping you updated on his progress.
It will take about $4,000 for his first four months with us in professional fees (vet, vaccinations, medication, dentist, farrier) and supplies (alfalfa pellets, triple crown senior, ulcergard, and supplements). If you’d like to contribute to his care you may do so directly on this post, or at the link in our bio. As always, we do not use funds designated for our youth mentorship programs for rescue rehabilitation, so gifts designated to the “Warrior Fund” at Freedom Reigns Ranch are essential for this arm of our work. All donations on this post will be designated as such and are tax deductible.
Please be praying for Nehemiah as he rehabilitates and for our staff and volunteers who are providing round-the-clock critical care during these vital first several days.
